Your safety matters

How we protect guests, hosts, and the pets in between.

Verified listings

Every listing is manually reviewed before going live. We check photos are genuine, pet policies are accurate, and descriptions are honest. Listings that misrepresent themselves are removed.

๐Ÿ”’

Secure payments

Payments are processed through Stripe โ€” PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. We never store card details. All data in transit is encrypted with TLS.

Real reviews

Reviews can only be left by guests who completed a stay. We don't allow anonymous or unverified reviews. Hosts and guests can both be reviewed.

For guests

๐Ÿ“ธ

Check the photos

Look at all listing photos carefully. If fencing is important for your dog, look for photos that show it clearly.

๐Ÿ’ฌ

Read the reviews

Past guest reviews give you a realistic picture of what the stay is like. Look for mentions of how pets were treated.

๐Ÿ“‹

Confirm pet details

Double-check that your specific pet type and size is listed as accepted before booking.

๐Ÿ“ž

Emergency contact

In an emergency while staying, always call 000 first. Then contact us at safety@pawsholiday.com.

For hosts

๐Ÿก

Secure your property

Check fencing, pool gates, and any escape routes before guests arrive with pets. Fix hazards proactively.

๐Ÿงช

Remove toxins

Common garden plants like lilies, oleander, and sago palm are toxic to pets. Remove or secure them before hosting.

๐Ÿ’ฐ

Use a security deposit

Set a security deposit on your listing to protect against damage. It's refunded if no issues arise.

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Stay reachable

Respond to guest messages promptly. Being reachable during a stay builds trust and prevents small issues becoming big ones.

Report a concern

If you encounter a safety issue, a listing that misrepresents itself, or behaviour that makes you uncomfortable โ€” tell us immediately. We investigate all reports within 24 hours.

In an emergency, always call 000 first.
